Geoff and I both grew up with dogs, Geoff and his family always had a pet dog and I grew up on a sheep property so we always had dogs around. Geoff is a building contractor and I work in an office doing computers and phone work. We have 2 grown children and 4 grandchildren who love to visit the dogs, especially when we have puppies. We live 10 minutes outside Armidale on the northers side on a couple of acres. The dogs love to run and swim in the dam although in the summer we have to watch out for snakes.
When we married we got our first dog not long after and have always had at least 1 dog since then. We got our first Jack Russell nearly 20 years ago, she was part of the family and went everywhere with us on all our camping and fishing trips. She loved to fish and was also a tennis ball fanatic. Unfortunatley when she was 13 she got cancer and we had to put her to sleep. We were devestated. After a few months Geoff decided we would have to get another Jack but he wanted to start breeding pure breed Jacks, We started a search for a bitch, having in mind a smooth coat tri colour - 6 years ago this was almost impossible to find. We ended up with a tri colour rough coat, Sophie. She won our hearts. Thanks to Sophies breeder, Kath Harney we began showing, never having done anything like this before we relied on her and her daughter Carron to show us the ropes. We got hooked and they have become great friends. We have travelled to many shows and have met many lovely people and made some great friends.
We now have 8 Jacks, 4 boys and 4 girls. Sophie, Sissy, Bridie and Hayley are our girls and Oscar, JJ, Wally and Drum our boys.
Sophie, Oscar, JJ and Wally all have their Australian Championship titles.
We breed at least 1or 2 litters a year depending on circumstances. Breeding both show and pet dogs. We like to think we have helped to make life more enjoyable for the families who have our puppies as Jacks will always try their best to please everyone. They are part of the family and don't like to being left out of anything that is happening.
